Technical & Commercial Development

Development Strategy & Key Workstreams

A structured approach to engineering definition, approvals, commercial structuring and investment readiness.

Storage configuration

Technical design will assess battery chemistry, usable energy, power conversion capacity, duration in hours, grid-forming or grid-following capabilities, thermal management, auxiliary systems and operational dispatch requirements. A 250MWh energy rating does not by itself specify MW power output.

Use cases and revenue

Potential applications include peak shaving, energy arbitrage, renewable firming, backup supply and eligible grid services. A bankable operating case will require site-specific load profiles, tariffs, connection conditions and dispatch modelling.

Safety and delivery

Development activities include battery safety and fire protection design, site selection, grid studies, supplier warranties, augmentation assumptions, availability guarantees, recycling and end-of-life arrangements.
